Do you realize you are already buying a home?

It's true.  Even though you have not put in an offer, signed the deal, requested lending, or even contacted an agent, you are buying a home.  Actually, you are buying someone else a home.  Each month you make your rent payment to your landlord, he then forwards that money to cover his home mortgage.  Most of the time, your payment is larger than his portion that he owes (this is obviously how he makes money).

BREAK THE CHAIN

Most renters do not take the time to look into purchasing their own home because they either feel that it is too expensive, their is too much work involved, or they will not get approved.

The truth is that in most cases, you will spend more money getting into a lease than you will getting into your own home.  Also, by hiring an agent to help you through the process, you are basically getting your own personal coach for free.  Lately it has become just as difficult, and in many instances more difficult, to get into a rental agreement.  Think about it, wouldn't you be extra careful choosing someone to whom you will allow full access to your home?

There are many programs out there that are geared towards first time home buyers, and even those buyers who have below average credit scores.  You may even get the keys to your new home without having to pay but a few hundred dollars.  Compare that to several hundred dollars for deposit, first and last month's rent, and even pet deposits sometimes totalling more than the rent itself.
